Meet the Chef

Scott May — the name
behind the food.

25+ years in the kitchen, a real chef who cooks to order. The whole brand rests on one thing the big catering companies can't copy: a chef you can actually meet, taste, and trust.

The Story

A restaurant owner. A hotel-catering veteran. A real chef.

Scott May has spent more than 25 years cooking — first as a restaurant owner-operator, then through years of high-volume hotel catering, and now as the chef-owner of May Catering. That path taught him two things that show up in every event: how to cook food people remember, and how to run service that doesn't miss.

He isn't a logo on the side of a van or a faceless sales team. When you book May Catering, the chef who plans your menu is the chef who cooks it — and the one who taught his team to care as much as he does.

Philosophy

Cook to order. Customize everything. Never cut the quality.

What Scott believes about feeding people well — and why it shapes every menu he writes.

01

Cooked to order

Food made for your event, not pulled from a steam tray. Fresh, intentional, and timed to the room — in as little as 48 hours when you need it fast.

02

Fully customizable

Every menu bends to your guests, your dietary needs, and your vision. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free — built in, never bolted on.

03

High-quality ingredients

You taste the difference when the chef refuses to compromise on what goes on the plate. Scott doesn't.

Values

Service · Quality · Experience

Three words Scott actually runs on — not a poster on the wall.

  • Service that anticipates
  • Quality you can taste
  • An experience guests remember

From the first email to the last plate cleared, the goal is simple: make every table feel like the only table that matters.

“If my name is on it, I cooked it.”

Every May Catering event carries one chef's hand from menu to last plate. That signature is the whole promise — and the one thing a faceless caterer can't sign.
